The Golden Key has several staff members who are certified in performing The Autism Diagnostic Observation Assessment (ADOS).
This assessment determines the social and behavior communication often associated with the Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Testing is performed at The Golden Key Center and is scheduled three to four weeks out due to the high demand of the test. Once the test is performed and the results are determined the certified staff members meet with the family to review the information and consult for next steps.
Often times if a result of an assessment deems the individual on the Autism Spectrum reaching out to the school district of resident to move toward and educational evaluation if one has not been performed.
The process for ADOS is generally a two to three-month process from scheduling to results, to outline consultative services. As a private provider ADOS testing is not covered by medical coverage. Payment is required at the time of the evaluation.
