Licensed Intervention Specialist
Licensed Intervention Specialist provides and oversee the educational programs for an assigned caseload or classroom lead depending on need. The Intervention Specialist is providing advice to teachers, administrators and support staff on the students educational, behavioral and social functioning goals. Intervention Specialist comply with local, state and national standards. The Intervention Specialist must hold a current Ohio license in intervention.
This position reports directly to the Academic Director.
Paraprofessional
The Paraprofessional, performs a variety of non-teaching classroom support and student personal care services as directed under the supervision of an assigned educator or assistant principal. Paraprofessionals work independently in the Teacher’s absence. The paraprofessional supports a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment which is educationally sound in developmental practices.
The Paraprofessional reports to the Classroom Teacher and Assistant Principal
Teacher
The Teacher is the primary educator in a self-contain special education class kindergarten through eighth-grade in a Non-Public Charter School. The Teacher’s primarily responsibility is understanding and implementing the program’s curriculum and behavior plans. The teacher works side-by-side with a Ohio Licensed Intervention Specialist to adapt curriculum to work at each individual student’s pace. The teacher provides a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment which is educationally sound in developmental practices.
This position reports directly to the Principal.
